We all have situations throughout our lives where our confidence seems to disappear, leaving us stranded with the task ahead. Whether this may be going to a job interview, starting a new job, talking to your crush or being confident in the gym. There are a few tips and tricks that can support you in feeling confident that day or the days after.
Ensure you have a good night’s sleep.Waking up on the wrong side of the bed, as we all know can really knock your confidence. Sometimes the dreams we have or the struggles of not falling asleep can really affect our mood the next day. To ensure that you have a good night’s sleep, try to go to bed early, have your dinner two hours before bed-time, and take your book into bed not your phone, this will allow your body to settle and not be distracted by the bright lights of your devices. This way you should wake up feeling refreshed, and ready for a day of positivity and confidence.
Setting goals for your day ahead
Before you go to bed write down your goals for the next day, this may include tasks you have to fulfil, people you must see or making sure you complete an important job. This will enable you to complete those goals ahead of you with ease, just make sure you don’t take on too many goals at once as that may lead to failure and the opposite of a good attitude.
Wear something that makes you feel powerful
I am sure if not all many of us have something they know just looks and feels great on them. If you feel like you have got up and it already is not your day, maybe put that outfit on and it may give you exactly the confidence boosts you need. Have a hot shower beforehand and give yourself enough time to groom yourself. If you are feeling good about what you are wearing you are bound to enjoy your day and have all the confidence in the world.
Do something good
Perhaps you have worn your favourite outfit and had a great sleep but are still lacking confidence. Why don’t you do something good for someone? Give some money to a charity, bring some of your old clothes to a charity shop or do a night in the food kitchen. These actions will make you feel positive and confident in yourself because of the achievements of your day.
Clear your mind through exercise
Exercise has been proven to be a fantastic way of relieving stress, weight loss, increase in energy levels and feeling happier. If you can, go before work to have a good blow-out before the day ahead, otherwise, it will be just as effective to train afterwards when the day has been long and stressful. Due to the relief and weight loss, it is bound to make you feel great about yourself and give you the confidence you need.
